Telkom University Helps Improve Education Quality in Sambas
Telkom University continues to be committed to improving the
quality of education in Indonesia, this is a form of Tel-U's support for
the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) program, one of the efforts that
reflects this goal is to improve the quality of education on the border of
Indonesia, namely in Sambas Regency, North Kalimantan. Through the support ofPT. Telkom Indonesia, Telkom
University provided an Educations Smart System(EAZY) applicationto the Sambas
State Polytechnic (Poltesa).
At the application handover event that took place at
Poltesa, Wednesday (9/8), Telkom University submitted an application to help
meet the academic and administrative needs of the university.
EAZY provides convenience as a solution to meet all academic
needs, by utilizing technology to improve the quality of university
accreditation and credibility.
Through the EAZYaccreditation feature , it is able to facilitate universities to improve
higher education accreditation and study programs, according to the regulations
of the Higher Education Accreditation Agency (BAN-PT).
Poltesa Director Yuliansyah expressed his gratitude to
Telkom University which is committed to supporting the improvement of the
quality of education in the regions, especially in border areas of Indonesia.
"All Poltesa academics would like to thank PT Telkom
Indonesia and Telkom University through this application which has really
helped us in improving the quality of education in Sambas Regency." he
said.
Yuliansyah further said that the EAZY application is very
helpful for universities in improving the quality of education, especially in
improving accreditation, both higher education accreditation and study program
accreditation.
"Apart from that, this application also helps us
(higher education leaders) in monitoring the progress of the accreditation
process." he said.
At the signing of the cooperation agreement between Telkom
University and Poltesa, Telkom University Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs,
Dr. Dadan Rahadian conveyed that one of the contributions made by Tel-U in
helping to improve the quality of education in Indonesia was through a program
conducted at Poltesa.
"Through this collaboration, we want to continue to
contribute to improving the quality of education in Indonesia, we have many
plans and collaborations with Poltesa which is one of the universities in the
border area in West Kalimantan." Dadan said.
Previously the EAZY application developed by Telkom
University had been implemented in Bogor and Bandung, then currently Sambas is
the third area where the EAZY application has been implemented.
"We hope that this application will have broad benefits
not only for Poltesa, but also for the sake of creating a superior generation
for Sambas Regency and Indonesia. Through PT Telkom's CSR Program, we can carry
out this program, making it easier for universities to improve the quality of
education through technology." Obviously.
Also present in witnessing the process of handing over the
EAZY product,the General Manager(GM) of Telkom West Kalimantan
Telecommunications Business Area (Witel), Tedi Rukmantara, expressed his hope
that this application could be utilized by universities not only in the 3T
areas (underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost) but in all universities in
Indonesia.
"By implementing this application at Poltesa, we hope
to be able to support improving the quality of education in the Sambas area,
and we hope that the Director of Poltesa himself can convey the advantages of
this product? to allstakeholdersfrom Poltesa, as users of the EAZY
application." Obviously.
Previously Telkom University had assisted the use of the
EAZY application by the EAZY team, to the accreditation team from Poltesa.
Besides that Prof. Maman Abdurohman as a Telkom University lecturer who is also
a BAN-PT Assessor and the Informatics and Computer Independent Accreditation
Institute (LAM INFOKOM) was also present at this socialization, to assist
Poltesa in the process of inputting study program accreditation forms.
