Thailand Science Park Partners with UT Korea Chungbuk
National University for
'Technology and Science Resource Collaboration' to
Enhance Thai-Korean Innovation Business
On 26th July 2023, Thailand Science Park (TSP) and UT Korea
Chungbuk National University (CBNU) jointly arranged 'Technology and Science
Resource Collaboration'. This event opened with a speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr.
Veerachai Achariyaharn, the Director of Thailand Science Park, along with
senior executives warmly welcomed Mr. Kim Hyun Yong and delegates from CBNU.
The overview and readiness to support the research activities of TSP were
presented and the potential for expanding research collaboration with CBNU.
Then, TSP hosted the 'Mini Business Matching'. This event
was held between four Korean technology companies from Innotown under CBNU's
management and TSP's partners including taking them to visit R&D facilities:
- Nano Safety and Bioactivity Research Team, Advanced
Nanocharacterization and Safety Research Group led by Dr. Sasitorn Aueviriyavit
- Innovative Nanocoating Research Team, Nanohybrids and
Coating Research Group led by Dr. Pisist Kumnorkaew
Through this visit, both CBNU and TSP perceived the benefits
and opportunities for collaboration between Innotown's network of companies and
TSP's networks. The collaboration aims to support and develop businesses on
both sides looking to expand their production bases and markets in Thailand and
Korea.
