The 27th ASPA Annual Conference ended in great success




From August 19 to 21, 2024, the 27th ASPA Annual Conference under the theme of "Role and impact of STPs for regional development" was co-hosted by Science Park Administration and National IT Park of Mongolia. In the conference, innovation experts from all over the world participated and got involve in the meaningful knowledge exchange.

On 19th, Workshop on strengthening the management, recruitment, services strategies and skills of the incubator centers in STPs was co-hosted by SPA and NITP of Mongolia and Isfahan Regional Centre for Technology Incubator and Science Park Development (IRIS), under the auspices of UNESCO.

On 20th, two keynote speakers offered the beginning with the valuable speeches which covers the whole conference theme. It was followed by the Plenary session and four presentation sessions. Participants were able to not only obtain ideas of what role they are required to play as STP experts but also learn other STPs' knowledge through each speeches that dealt with issues that are emerging worldwide.

Besides, ASPA Awards 2024 winners and the host organization of the upcoming ASPA Conference were introduced at the end of the conference.

By hosting this conference, National IT Park of Mongolia became one of ASPA directors.

Knowledge and Experience Sharing Workshop


Workshop on strengthening the management, recruitment, service strategies, and skills of the Incubator Centers in Science and Technology Parks (STPs) for the first day of the ASPA 2024 conference has begun at the National Information Technology park.

It was held under the theme “Innovation, Integration, Incubation,” features presentations by Mozhgan Yazdianpour, Director of the Technology, Incubator, and Science Park Development Center in Isfahan, Iran; Herbert Chen, Deputy Director of the Science Park at Tsinghua University and Consultant Director of the International Science Park and Innovation Association; Junseok Seo, Professor in the Industry-Academia Convergence Department at Hanbat National University, South Korea, and Consultant at the Business and Strategy Division of the Daejeon Technopolis; and Watcharin (Lhing), Director of the Business Incubator and Science Parks Association (BISPA) in Thailand. Also, the workshop is attended by representatives from science and technology parks, innovation hubs, technology transfer centers, universities, and organizations operating in this field.

- The impact of AI technology on the labor market and further human resources are based on AI by Mr. Badral Sanlig, Founder & CEO of Chimege Systems of Mongolia

- The roles and participation of STPs in the e-transition by Mr. Azamat Baimen, Managing director of National Information Technologies JSC (NITEC) of Kazakhstan




ASPA Awards 2024





As usual, four promising companies nominated by ASPA STP members attended the ASPA Awards as finalists.

In 2024, TDM, nominated by Gwangju Technopark, Korea won the Grand Prize.

Yongatek from Turkiye, DORSA from Iran and iSol from Korea won the Excellence Prize.

Next ASPA Conference in 2025



The 28 th ASPA Annual Conference 2025 will be hosted by Thailand Science Park (TSP) under the theme of “Roles of STPs in facilitating corporates on the ESG journey” at Thailand Science Park convention center in Pathum Thani, Thailand in November.

Exact date will be officially announced later.
