KP Aerospace Vietnam has successfully produced and delivered its first major wing structures for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner at its factory inside the Danang Specific Economic Zones Authority (DSEZA), marking the first time these components have ever been manufactured in Việt Nam. The milestone reflects the effectiveness of DSEZA’s strategy to attract high-technology and aerospace manufacturers to the city and strengthen Danang’s position within the global supply chain. Since the US$20 million plant was inaugurated in 2024, KP Aerospace Vietnam has become an important addition to the industrial ecosystem that DSEZA is developing around advanced manufacturing and next-generation engineering.

DSEZA highlights the project as a model of trilateral international cooperation linking Korea, the United States, and Việt Nam. Advanced technologies transferred from Korean Air and Boeing were successfully adapted and mastered by local engineering and assembly teams in Danang, demonstrating strong progress in technological localization and talent development within the Hi-tech Park. With KP Aerospace Vietnam preparing to expand into Boeing 737 MAX winglet production next year, Danang is expected to further deepen its participation in the aerospace manufacturing sector.

The achievement also reflects a broader investment dynamic under DSEZA’s direction, as Danang continues to emerge as a regional hub for high-tech industries. South Korean companies alone have committed US$1.33 billion across 345 projects in the city, and cooperation agreements between DSEZA, universities and Korean investors are strengthening industrial–academic–business linkages. With aerospace manufacturing positioned as a strategic pillar, DSEZA aims to accelerate innovation, technology transfer and high-skilled employment, reinforcing Danang’s ambition to become a leading East Asian–Southeast Asian aerospace and high-tech supply chain center.
