The 28th ASPA Annual
Conference 2025 achieved its carbon-neutral status through a
strategic partnership with the Thailand Greenhouse Gas
Management Organization (TGO), offsetting 23.0
$tCO 2eq$ of emissions.
The core of this achievement lies in supporting a T-VER project that focuses on a "National Food Waste Management Campaign."
By diverting organic waste away from landfills—where it would otherwise
decompose and release potent methane gas—the project ensures food waste is
properly managed through sustainable practices.
Every step of this process is carefully measured and recorded to show exactly how much carbon was saved. This solid data
acts as proof for issuing official carbon credits.
By purchasing
these credits, Thailand Science Park, the host ASPA conference, provided the actual funding needed for local
Thai communities to build the systems to track and reduce their own
carbon footprint. It’s a transparent way to turn a large event into a net-zero success.
