The Daegu Center for Creative Economy & Innovation is leading efforts to expand international collaboration opportunities for Korean startups through the Daegu–Kyoto Startup Technology Exchange. Organized with the participation of the Asia Science Park Association (ASPA) and support from Kyoto Research Park, the program brought together Korean and Japanese companies to explore opportunities for joint research and development and technology cooperation. During the exchange, participating startups will introduce their technologies, products, and potential areas of collaboration through company presentations, Q&A sessions, and networking activities. Five Korean startups supported by the Daegu Center for Creative Economy & Innovation—Pong, The Sunhan, CleanD, Learning Vision, and Nuvinda — presented their businesses and explore potential partnerships with Japanese counterparts. The delegation visited Keihanna Science City for a second corporate exchange, creating additional opportunities for participants to shared ideas.
The delegation attended Manufacturing World Osaka 2026 at INTEX Osaka to explore emerging manufacturing technologies, AI-driven solutions, robotics, and smart factory innovations. Through these activities, the Daegu Center for Creative Economy & Innovation aims to help local startups strengthen international networks, identify new business opportunities, and build a foundation for sustainable collaboration with Japanese companies.
