On 14 October 2026, Ostim Teknopark took part in the IPA II Closing Conference of the Competitive Sectors Programme in Ankara, themed "Turning Innovation into Impact". The programme is implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye and co-financed by the European Union Delegation to Türkiye and the Republic of Türkiye. At the exhibition area, they had the opportunity to present PROTA's production capabilities to the Minister of Industry and Technology, H.E. Mehmet Fatih Kacır and the visitors. During the ceremony, PROTA received the Outstanding Project Award, accepted by our General Manager, Dr. Derya Çağlar. According to figures shared by the Minister at the conference, the programme has provided approximately EUR 260 million to 43 projects across 23 provinces in Türkiye.

About PROTA

PROTA Technology Production Workshop was established at Ostim Teknopark with the support of the IPA II 2014–2020 Competitive Sectors Operational Programme and opened in 2023. It offers a shared-use machinery and equipment infrastructure in advanced machining, robotic welding, laser systems, and metal and plastic additive manufacturing. This enables SMEs and entrepreneurs to move from design to prototype and production without making their own equipment investments, while also benefiting from training, mentoring and consultancy support. Through PROTA, Ostim Teknopark will continue to strengthen the prototyping and production capacity of Ankara's and Türkiye’s industry.
