A visit of Former CEO of Thimphu TechPark to Saigon Hi-Tech Park

On 10th May, Dr. Tshering Cigay Dorji, former CEO of Thimphu TechPark in Bhutan, visited Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) in Vietnam.

In 2017, as CEO of Thimphu TechPark at that time, he visited SHTP for the first time when STHP hosted the 21st ASPA Annual Conference in Ho chi Minh, Vietnam. And this was his second visit.

Thimphu TechPark's mission is to promote research, innovation and development in technologies of Bhutan, and Dr. Tshering Cigay Dorji always has been interested in creating a vibrant ecosystem for the tech industry in Bhutan supporting tech startups, facilitating FDI, linking the industry with the government, etc. When he had been to SHTP in 2017, therefore, he was impressed with what SHTP was doing for the local development and innovation as the center of hi-tech development leading the region. It definitely made him head for SHTP again while he was on a business trip in Vietnam.

During the visit, he had a tour of some startups in SHTP incubation center, Datalogic Vietnam LLC (FDI company and one of SHTP's tenants) and SHTP R&D Center.

SHTP is doing an amazing job in stimulating the innovation ecosystem and the economy of Vietnam as well as the region, according to Dr. Tshering Cigay Dorji.
