The Da Nang delegation visited ASPA Secretariat on 24th May.
The delegation and ASPA Secretariat mainly discussed about entrepreneurship ecosystem and know-how to manage Hi-Tech Park.
Da Nang City is focusing on fostering start-ups which can make a maximum output with less materials which produces low environment pollution as well as limited capital and labor at the moment. That is why IT and High-Technology start-ups in Da Nang City are provided with a lot of supports, such as land rental, indirect fund support through install of infrastructure, etc., from the local government. Da Nang City has been directed by Vietnam government to create the creative entrepreneurship ecosystem and is also planning to build IT Park and creative venture center related to science and techonolgy following Hi-Tech Park, and it is expected that start-ups in the IT and High-Tech field can get a full support including the administrative support by IT Park in the future. As there are many start-ups in the IT field in Korea as well, we can had an in-depth discussion regarding the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
ASPA Secretariat also shortly shared how Technoparks in Korea, which are managed by local governments, operated.
For more discussion and exchange on various aspects, the Da Nang delegation showed an interest in not only participating in the 25th ASPA Annual Conference in Jeju, Korea in October, 2022, but also hosting the annual conference at Da Nang Hi-Tech Park in the future. ASPA Secretariat would like to express appreciation once again for their visit and the interest in ASPA activities. We look forward to a lot of exchanges between Da Nang City / Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and ASPA in the furture.
