Russky Technopark will launch the annual program for young hi-tech entrepreneurs

On October 2, 2020, Russky Technopark CEO Mr. Dmitry Borovikov has announced the opening of the Far Eastern Start program. The project's presentation was conducted in frames of the Russky MeetUp Eastern Digital Forum.

During the speech, Mr. Borovikov spoke about the goals, format and features of the program. The Far Eastern Start is a joint project of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) and Russky Technopark aimed at interaction between students of universities in the Russian Far East, educational organizations, entrepreneurs, development institutions and regional authorities for the involvement of region's youth in project activities and technological entrepreneurship.

« The main goal of this program is very simple – to make sure that any young person in the Russian Far East can get modern tools, contacts, connections, necessary knowledge for their development, as well as be able to fully develop and launch projects without leaving their region. If you look at the Russian Far East as an innovative ecosystem, the program is focused primarily on preparing young professionals and entrepreneurs for high-tech companies», - said Russky Technopark CEO.

Far Eastern Start is planned to become the annual academic year-long program, consisting of online educational courses and webinars with experts, offline events, and the accelerator for student technology projects. The project, jointly conducted with FEFU, is supposed to attract students from about 30 Far Eastern Federal District universities.

Russky Technopark residents, representatives of development institutions, including Skolkovo and Far East High Technology Fund, as well as experts in the field of innovative business, marketing, IT and financing will provide participants with a theoretical base. Mentors will help student teams with their business tasks, while program's platform developed in cooperation with the Preaktum program will help to accurately simulate the process of creating and launching a project online.

Besides the presentation, the Round Table for the discussion of technological entrepreneurship among Far Eastern youth was conducted. Among the participants of the Round Table were Head of the Digital Breakthrough contest Sergey Plugotarenko, «Russia – the Land of Opportunities» Director General Alexey Komissarov, Head of Communications at Far East High Technology Fund Kristina Busko, Head of the Skolkovo Fund Regional Development Department Yury Sibirsky, Agency for the Development of Human Capital in the Far East Deputy Director Gasan Gasanbaev, EEF Director on the Development Maxim Yakovenko, Agency for Strategic Initiatives Corporate Director Elena Myakotnikova, Chief Federal Inspector in Primorsky Krai Sergei Gryzikhin, and University 2035 rector Nina Yanykina.

After the project's presentation, Russky Technopark signed the partnership agreement with the Agency for strategic initiatives (ASI), an autonomous non-profit organization, created pursuant to the decision of the Russian Federation Government and aimed at supporting new business, young professionals and social projects.
