Delegation
of the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau, Led by Director General Chen,
Went to
Bulgaria and Hungary for Exchanges of High-tech Innovative Industries
Director General Chen of the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau led
his colleagues to Bulgaria and Hungary in mid-September to carry out exchange
programs, in an eye to strengthen international business links of science park
manufacturers and to expand potential trade chances in overseas markets.
Delegation of the Hsinchu Science Park visited local government units, academic
research institutions, economic parks, and enterprises and had in-depth
discussions on industrial development, talent cultivation, scientific and
technological exchanges, and relevant issues, fostering future bilateral
cooperation and possible exchanges.
Bulgaria is located at the hub of Europe and Asia, with
abundant natural resources and a stable climate, with strong fundamental
scientific research competence in microelectronics, optics, precision
machinery, and aero-space technologies, also owns prestigious research
institutes, e.g. Bulgaria Academy of Science (BAS) and 10 key STEM research
universities, attracting many international manufacturers to invest in, e.g.
Bosch, Liebherr, Schneider, and major automobile manufacturers from various
countries, forming one of the most important automobile parts supply chains in
Europe. Delegation of Hsinchu Science Park also visited the computer Institute
of Science and AI Technology (INSAIT), Technical University of Sofia (Technical
University of Sofia), Milara Company, and other units and had dialogues and
view exchanges on high-tech talent cultivation, technological development,
industrial supply chain establishment, and other related issues.
