From December 4 ~ 6, Business Meeting ASIA 2013 in Hong Kong was held in Hong Kong with the global companies in the fields of IT&Telecom, Electronics, Precision Engineering(nano materials), Biotechnology, Green and Renewable Energy. The meeting was organized by Asian Science Park Association and Hong Kong Science Park and sponsored by Daegu Metropolitan City. The total number of 36 companies attended the Hong Kong meeting(27 companies from Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan and 9 companies from Korea) to find business partners and to expand into the Hong Kong market.
InnoASIA 2013
On December 4, we attended InnoASIA 2013. InnoAsia is the signature event of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC) and embodies its commitment to advancing innovation and facilitating Hong Kong’s growth as a key technology hub in the region. In collaboration with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, InnoAsia 2013 adopted “Towards a smart green city agenda” as the theme. Academics, experts, decision makers and thought leaders came to Hong Kong from all over the world to join the event. ASPA participants joined the presentation, panel discussion and the networking sessions on the first day.
Businee Matching
We had the business meeting on December 5. After the opening ceremony, AppoTech Limited and Hikari Innovision signed an MOU at the Hong Kong Meeting. They first met at Business Meeting ASIA 2013 in Kyoto and continued to work with each other since. 15 companies made presentations in the morning session to introduce their companies to the other participants. Then, the business meeting participants greeted each other and talked about the possibilities of working together in future. Out of 40 business meetings, 12 meetings made progress.
Technical Tour
On December 6, we visited Hong Kong Science Park. We got to learn the overall information of HKSTPC by listening to the presentation made by HKSTPC staff members and by looking around the facilities inside the park. We visited Lab facilities and Incu-Tech Center for the Technical Tour. This tour was considered very useful to the visitors in the similar field of industry. Furthermore, we also got to see the Green architecture that they were building.
