The 29th ASPA Business Meeting - Jakarta, 2018 was held in Indonesia

The 29 ^th ASPA Business Meeting - Jakarta, 2018 was held in Jakarta, Indonesia on 30 ^th October, 2018, The companies from Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Korea an in the field of ICT, Electric/Electronics, Machinery, Automation/Robot, Medical and Healthcare participated in this business meeting. The event was co-organized by Asian Science Park Association (ASPA), Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology(BPPT), Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (KICOX) Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional headquarters, Daegu Technopark Mobile Technology Convergence Center (MTCC), University of Ulsan LINC+ Agency and Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC).

[Business Meeting]

Dr. Ir. Iwan Sudrajat, MSEE, Director of Center of Technology for Specific Areas and Innovation Systems, made an opening speech. It was followed by speeches of Dr. Sunkook Kwon, Secretary-General of ASPA and Dr. Byeong-Oh Kim, Director of Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarter . The business matching started after then and each participating company had meetings which was arranged in advance. The companies discussed technical cooperation and potential business opportunities in Indonesia market.

There were 3 MoUs made during the business meeting. SEMPENIAGA SDN. BHD. (Participant: Daniel Tan, Telecom tower & data centre sales & marketing company) from Malaysia signed 2 MoUs with Indonesian companies, and DAESUNG MNC Co., Ltd (Participant: Ik-hyeung Kim, CEO, Electronic lecture desk) from Korea signed 1 MoU with Indonesian company. The MoUs were made on the spot, so we hope there will be a fruitful result. ASPA will support and follow-up continuously so that there will be significant progress after the business meeting between participating companies.

[Technical Tours]

On 31 ^st October, participants paid a visit to PUSPIPTEK(Pusat Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi). Dr. Ir. Iwan Sudrajat, MSEE, Director of Center of Technology for Specific Areas and Innovation Systems introduced about the current status of PUSPIPTEK and ongoing projects. After then, participants visited 2 laboratories in the field of automobile and electrical and electronic, and they could learn ongoing experiments and equipment. We appreciate Dr. Iwan and all the staff member for warm hospitality and meaningful time, which made the visit very informative.
