Business Meeting ASIA 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Business Meeting ASIA 2019 in Kuala Lumpur was held in Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residences in Malaysia on 18th July, 2019. The global companies in the field of Machinery, Automotive Parts, ICT, Electrics/Electronics, Automation/Robot and Medical/Healthcare participated in this event. The event was co-organized by Asian Science Park Association, INNOPOLIS Foundation, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (KICOX) Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters, Daegu Technopark Mobile Technology Convergence Center (DTP MTCC), University of Ulsan, LINC+ (Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation+) Agency, KEIMYUNG UNIVERSITY, LINC+ (Industry-University Cooperation Leading Group) and Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC). The 24 promising companies from Korea attended the meeting to expand their business in Malaysian market.
Business Matching
Business Meeting ASIA 2019 in Kuala Lumpur started with the welcome speech by Dato' Norhalim Yunus, Chief Executive Officer of MTDC. It was followed by the opening speech of Dr. Sunkook Kwon, Secretary-General of ASPA, and Mr. Inyoung Gong, CEO of SafeTechResearch Inc., representing participating companies. The business matching has started after then and each company had meetings with the related local Malaysian companies. The meetings were pre-arranged and the participants discussed the potential business opportunities and cooperation opportunities. The follow-up discussions between participating companies will be made after the event also.
Technical Tour
On 19th July, the participants visited one company and one center as a technical tour. The company name was ‘Organic Gain Sdn Bhd’, which produces halal food, and ready-to-cook paste. The participants looked around their facilities and products. After then, they visited UPM-MTDC Technology Centre. The visitors were welcomed by MTDC staff members and visited some tenant companies. Another group attended the exhibitions, ‘MALAYSIA PLAS 2019’ at Putra World Trade Center, which is an international plastic, mould, tools Exhibition.
